About Me!

“Every life is a story. Make yours a bestseller”

Hi there! I’m Brandi Kellam – a writer, producer, creator and educator with 6+ years in the “business.”

I’m very passionate about using innovative techniques to merge new forms of storytelling with traditional platforms. Over the last two years, I’ve produced content for NBC’s online platforms that have ranged from written articles, to video interviews and social media GIFs. I’ve also covered live events, such as the BET Awards, via Twitter for NBCBLK.

As a booking producer for MSNBC, I’ve consistently increased the caliber of guests I’ve  acquired for the network: from an exclusive appearance of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to Cher’s 2016 MSNBC dayside appearance on the Flint Water Crisis and Aretha Franklin’s reflections on music legend Prince during breaking news coverage of his death.

In 2016, I spearheaded the launch of NBCUniversal’s first employee resource group that provides networking and skill-building resources to all of NBC’s early career employees which I pitched to corporate executives when I was a production assistant for MSNBC. In its first year, the Young Professionals Network (YPN), recruited more than 700 members and hosted a variety of career building events aligned with NBC’s commerce initiatives including the 2016 Olympics and presidential election. I also recently began instructing a multimedia journalism class for the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications as Syracuse University.

When I’m not producing content for NBC or MSNBC, you may find me at a restaurant near you as I am a self-proclaimed foodie and love a good grub!
